Welcome to the Priory ICT Blog

Blogs are great things for keeping you up to date.  Remember that ANYBODY IN THE WORLD can see what you write, so be careful.  In this blog you will only be able to write comments - and they will be seen by your teacher before they appear on the blog.

What can a blog be used for?  Often it’s a way of keeping a diary of your daily events, thinking about them and reflecting on them so that you can improve the way you work. You can permit other people to make comments on your postings so that you get a number of opinions about your progress, or get help with things you are unsure of.  It’s not a good idea to be too harsh to people who respond - try to understand their point of view.  A blog can get really popular - if you write about intersting things you can get a global conversation going!

What would YOU use a blog for?  Add a comment to this posting to suggest ways you might use a blog.   A hint - DON’T post your real name ANYWHERE, use your school username.  You will be asked to post your email address, but this is not made public.

Who knows, you might be assigned your own blog to use if you make a good enough suggestion!

There is certainly a lot of useful information. Keep up the good work.

Today, we traveled on a trip to BBC Radio Shropshire. The trip was very enlightening and certainly worthwile. It is refreshing to have a trip that doesn’t last all day. I think that the next logical thing to do would be to organize a joint business-ICT trip to the london stock exchange, and get some apple computers.

I thought the trip to BBC Radio Shropshire was very interesting and it was kind of them to give up their time to show us around the studios.
I hope Mrs Smith organises more trips for Applied ICT soon!
